About Us

Our Purpose
To spend some of our time, money and expertise to stand by the people who need our support.
Though we want to work in many more areas in future, our current focus is to provide education, healthcare and a decent life to the orphans, street children and kids from vulnerable backgrounds.
We saw that most of us have the strong urge to do something for the poor and needy - a very common thing in India. Owing to lack of a platform to work on and contribute meaningfully through collaboration of like-minded people across professions, most of our dreams to pay back to the society were not coming true.
Our Belief/Philosophy
All of us unanimously believe that we are fortunate to have got the better opportunities in life and it is our moral duty to give back to the society by helping the less advantaged and underprivileged sections of society.

Our Organization Structure
Tapassya’s initial membership primarily consisted of Kolkata based IT professionals but already we have friends from other geographies and professions who have joined our organization. We would welcome anybody sharing our philosophy and concern into our organization.
The opinion of every member is very important to us. However, like the smooth functioning of any organization, here in Tapassya also, the governing body is the sole decision making body on all matters. The key members of the Governing Body are
